Alberta School District, The Latest Educational Organization To Select Altus Dynamics EDU Suite

Online, July 22, 2013 (Newswire.com) - In late 2012 Palliser Regional Division No. 26 (Palliser) began the process to find a replacement solution for their existing financial management solution provided by Alberta-based Bellamy Software. This new solution needed to replace the functionality currently in place including a range of specific integrations, while also taking advantage of the latest in ERP technology and school administration software.

In addition to the core requirement to provide an industry leading and future proof ERP solution, Palliser had specific integration requirements which needed to be maintained from their existing solution. "We needed to provide a solution that would support the organization's needs, only better. We needed to integrate with Aesop, which is a system for substitute placement and absence management. We needed to include a student administration solution in the form of an Applicant Tracking module, which we will be providing via Microsoft Dynamics CRM. I believe our ability to deliver these was the key reason for our ultimate selection" says Chief Technology Officer at Altus Dynamics, James Faw.

The project will commence with the Finance element, which will go live first, with the HR and Payroll functionality going live shortly thereafter. The entire project is slated for completion by mid 2014. Once fully operational, Palliser will have 13 Microsoft NAV 2013 user licences with an additional 1,100-1,200 Altus Employee Portal users, allowing non-core finance staff access to the system in order to log expense requests, check their holiday entitlements etc. Once live, Palliser will join other Western Canada school boards including Louis Riel School Division and Red Deer Catholic Regional School Division #39 on the Altus Dynamics EDU Suite.
