Altus Dynamics announced today that the Canadian National Exhibition Association (CNEA) will be implementing its Financial Management and Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) solutions, based on the Microsoft Dynamics platform.
March 15, 2013 (Newswire) - Founded 134 years ago, the Canadian National Exhibition is Canada's largest annual fair. The governing body, the Canadian National Exhibition Association (CNEA) focuses on the production and management of the annual fair.
The CNEA will be transitioning on April 1, 2013 from being an agency of the City of Toronto to a fully independent business. As part of this transition process, the CNEA has been acquiring the tools to plan, co-ordinate and manage the fair and thereby set about searching for potential vendors who offer the solutions they required. The culmination of this effort was a competitive proposal process which came down to providers of two possible solutions - Microsoft Dynamics and SAP Business One.

In a first for Altus Dynamics, The CNEA will be deploying their Altus Dynamics NAV Suite in a Private Cloud hosting environment as opposed to the more traditional on-premise method. Altus Dynamics have partnered with Watserv (www.watserv.com), an Ontario-based hosting provider for the service. "We're very excited by this project. Cloud deployments have traditionally been the domain of our CRM Projects, but doing it with NAV opens up a whole new world of opportunity in terms of flexibility for the client" says Kelly Hagen, VP Client Services at Altus Dynamics.
The overall project will be phased with finance and HR to go live in Spring 2013 and the Dynamics CRM implementation hot on its heels. Once fully implemented, CNEA will benefit from a single unified solution, bringing together disparate systems and work processes into a single solution with significant improvements in financial management and reporting.
